Kingsrose Mining (ASX:KRM) has received all the results from its 2024 drilling program at the Råna Project in Norway, which show a “large search-space for future discovery”.

The results show nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide mineralisation occurs in a number of stacked zones throughout the 10km-wide Råna intrusion.

In total, three holes totalling 706m were drilled at the Rånbogen prospect, roughly 600m north-west of a massive sulphide zone intercepted in 2023.

Kingsrose, which has a market capitalisation of $25.61 million, says two of the holes intercepted broad intervals of disseminated to net-textured sulphide mineralisation. The intercepts demonstrate the presence of high nickel tenors, returning up to 1.6% nickel, 0.2% copper, and 0.15% cobalt.

The latest drilling results include 13.8m @ 0.4% nickel, 0.1% copper, and 0.04% cobalt, as well as 15.7m @ 0.3% nickel, 0.1% copper, and 0.02% cobalt.

Kingsrose’s Head of Exploration Andrew Tunningley says the drilling program has discovered a new zone that is associated with a “large-scale” conductive geophysical anomaly.

“Coupled with the reconnaissance program results announced 16 September 2024, it remains clear that Råna is prospective for polymetallic base metal sulphide mineralisation within a large-scale intrusive system, and we consider this project to remain underexplored,” Tunningley says.

Due to the current nickel market conditions, the company says limited exploration work is planned for 2025. Kingsrose says this decision reduces expenditure and allows it to consider the best path to advance the project.

The Råna Project is a brownfield nickel-copper-cobalt project that is considered prospective for the discovery of massive sulphide mineralisation. The project lies in Nordland County, Norway.
